Lisa trained as an Actress and went on to do the Postgraduate Voice Course at the Central School of Speech and Drama (1994-1995). She has also attained a certificate in Voice Craft from the renowned American singing teacher and researcher Jo Estill and has become a Master Practitioner in NLP.
Lisa was made Head of Voice at the La Salle Drama School in Singapore before working in a number of well known drama schools in London including Central School of Speech and Drama, LAMDA, Mountview, Arts Educational and Drama Studio, London. She was then given the post of Voice Coach working alongside Stewart Pearce (Master of Voice at the Shakespeare Globe Theatre, London) at the prestigious Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. In 1999, Lisa took over as the Resident Voice Coach at Webber Douglas and remained so till the closure of the school in 2006. She is currently working at LAMDA.
Lisa is a Voice trainer at RADA Enterprises working within the corporate sector.
She is also part of the research team at Central School of Speech and Drama working in two areas – Voice in Community and the Business Sector where she runs courses on presentation skills, interview techniques, vocal confidence and influential communication techniques for clarity of speech, self-confidence and personal power.
Lisa’s vocal support for theatre companies has included work at the open-air theatres of Arundel Festival, Cliveden in Buckinghamshire and Wimbledon in London. She also gives workshops both locally and abroad. These have included a series of workshops at Brunel University, London, in Barcelona and in Singapore.
